Turkish citizenship through this purchase
A purchase in this project counts towards Turkish citizenship only if it meets the real estate rules: the price on the title deed, the payments proven by bank records and the market value in a valuation report from an SPK-licensed firm must each be at least USD 400,000, and the title deed carries an annotation that the property will not be sold for 3 years. The unit must be a registered independent unit, and it must not be bought from a foreign seller or from someone who already used it for citizenship. Ask us to check a specific unit against these rules before you commit.
Buying as a foreigner: the steps
- Choose the unit and check the title deed record, the building's legal status and any mortgage or annotation on it.
- Get a Turkish tax number and open a bank account in Turkey.
- Sign the reservation or sale agreement and pay through a bank in Turkey.
- Obtain the valuation report from an SPK-licensed firm (required for sales to foreigners) and, for citizenship, the foreign exchange purchase certificate (DAB).
- Transfer the title deed at the land registry (tapu), then open the utility accounts.
